Bailey grew up in a household where diverse genres of music were the norm. From an early age, Bailey appreciated many types of music including Jazz, Rock, Folk, Soul, Reggae, Hip Hop and was eager to perform. She began her involvement in performance as a child actor in various local and national commercials and continued through high school with musical theater. Bailey first picked up the ukulele in 2007 when she began studying at Western Washington University. During her time at Western, she began writing original music and performing around various venues Bellingham. Since her graduation, she’s been heavily involved in the Bellingham music scene, both in concert and event organizing and promoting and singing and playing her Ukulele both as a solo act and with a full band at local venues and festivals
She has been playing music with children for three years as a “Fancy Bee” and as a facilitator in “nature school.” She believes in fostering the joy related to playing music- making it fun! As a teacher she encourages song writing and playing songs her students are passionate about playing. She is engaging and fun and may even sport a unicorn horn- if you’re into it!
