  • Chris Wrzesien

    Preteen Band Leader
    (6p-7:30p Monday session)
Auditions running now for a January 2024 class start.
Chris is a Bellingham songwriter, piano entertainer, and educator. He plays solo sets and leads group jam sessions to bring fun, beauty, and meaningful stories to his audience and fellow performers. His favorite genres are blues, folk, ragtime, funk -- and whatever his fellow musicians bring to the stage. Chris' teaching style reinforces music theory so students know how to create the sounds they hear in their minds! Teacher-student time is for learning new ideas, putting them together, and creating clear steps for practice; student time is for practice, practice, practice, and the joy of self-exploration. One of Chris' favorite recent projects was being the piano player and session leader for a weekly music improv group, creating new songs and arrangements in front of a live audience by tapping into the skills of the musicians present. His favorite piano job was playing two dinners per week at a sushi restaurant in Alaska (yum). He loves working with people who want to keep learning and growing, because that is his secret to a happy life.

  • Logan Brichta

    Preteen Band Leader
    (4:15p-5:45p Wednesday session)
Auditions running now for a January 2024 class start.
Logan Brichta is a music lover who works as a board-certified music therapist in the Bellingham area. Logan developed a passion for music growing up in central California, where he studied violin, double bass, bass guitar, and electric guitar. Throughout his youth, he played violin in school orchestras, all state & county orchestras, and quartets. Outside the orchestra, he also jammed in garage rock bands and explored piano, drum set, voice, mandolin, ukulele, DIY recording and production. Logan graduated from California State University, Northridge with a B.A. in Music Therapy after a 6-month music therapy internship at a large community for individuals with Dementia in Los Angeles. During his studies, Logan engaged people of many different ages and abilities in music therapy experiences and performed with a variety of groups including a studio ensemble, choirs, and African music ensembles. Logan became board-certified as a music therapist in 2019 and relocated to Whatcom county to serve the community. He enjoys working as a music therapist and he lives to connect, share, and learn with others through music.

Bellingham music lessons - Lessons

Private lessons are a fast and focused way to get started on an instrument, and allow you to set personalized goals for your playing. For most students, weekly 30-minute lessons are a great place to start. As students get into a regular practice routine at home, many choose to step up to a longer weekly lesson. Private lessons offer consistency for students and allow teachers to work on fundamentals as well as personalized material each week. Semi-private lessons are also an option if you have a friend or family member that would like to split tuition and join you for lessons.

Online and In-Person Private Lessons

We have an array of instructors if you’d like to bring multiple students or family members at once. We offer violin, viola, cello, piano, voice, brass, woodwinds, electric bass, guitar, ukulele, classical percussion, world percussion, drumset, music production lessons (Protools, Ableton, etc.), composition, and songwriting lessons.  We have a nice comfortable waiting room fit with WiFi, tea & coffee so make yourself at home while your child is back with their instructor.

Our teachers are available for In-Person lessons and Online Virtual Lessons via Zoom, Google Hangouts, Facetime, WhatsApp and Skype.
